Strawberry picking

This afternoon, we went bundu-bashing to get to a strawberry patch where we could pick them ourselves. Unfortunately, we've had so many storms and heavy rains here lately, that the strawberry fields all around our area have been damaged, so there's not much to pick. But the excitement of carrying a little basket/bucket and charging off with a MISSION to find a big fat juicy red strawberry was surely exhilirating for children and adults alike.
We went with our friends Angela and Angelique.
After about 20minutes of picking and eating a few here and there, a storm came over very quickly with lightening and thunder and BUCKETS of rain!! So unexpected where we had just 20minutes earlier put sun cream on, taken long sleeve shirts off, etc!!
Anyway! We made it with kids on hips, running back to the car, strawberries in a basket, JUST in the nick of time!
